It all began with oranges …
The year was 1982 when the first bright yellow trucks bearing the green Contino logo took to the road to collect Israeli Christmas oranges for Scandinavia.
Fruit shipping and transport, together with building-material transport, formed the foundation of Contino. Those two types of goods are still reflected in the colours of our logo and vehicles:
Yellow like the fruit. Green like the tree.
Contino – our care strengthens your reputation
Contino was founded with a focus on Scandinavian transport. Today, we operate throughout much of Europe, specialising in road transport to and from Germany, Southern Europe and the Benelux countries.
We are passionate about doing an excellent job for you. Road transport is a way of life, and we take every assignment seriously:
- That is why Contino continually develops to advance more sustainable transport.
- That is why we always deliver at the agreed time – direct and without transshipment.
Over the years, we have expanded by acquiring established haulage companies. This has strengthened our network and lets us adapt quickly or develop new routes, however suddenly your needs arise.
Everything we do is designed to give you outstanding service and flexibility, because efficient transport strengthens both your business and your reputation.
Direct delivery without transshipment, with a clear focus on sustainable transport
Today, our trailers remain filled with timber in the form of furniture and building materials, as well as stoves and industrial goods. Our yellow-and-green trucks cover thousands of kilometres on Danish and European roads every day.
That gives us a significant responsibility to make transport more sustainable wherever possible.
Because the environment is a high priority, we have long worked to reduce our CO₂ footprint by advancing sustainable transport.
When we promise direct delivery without transshipment, we must be able to enter major European cities. It is therefore essential that our trucks emit as few harmful substances as possible.
That is why our fleet includes 50 trucks powered by one of the cleanest available fuels: liquefied natural gas.
We look forward to telling you much more.
